About EMMA
EMMA was formed in 1982 by Direct Response television professionals as an informal forum to discuss problems,
developments and the direction of the industry. Today, EMMA's meetings and social gatherings continue to address
all aspects of the Direct Response industry. Our events offer networking opportunities with advertising agencies,
cable representatives, telemarketers, clients, and others associated with the business.
Our Mission
EMMA is dedicated to growing our industry through the sharing of knowledge, ideas and opportunities within the
electronic marketplace. We strive to keep our members current with the latest news and technology in the television,
Internet, and radio industries.
Our Members
Our members include representatives from nearly all of the major cable television networks,
the leading direct response advertising agencies, and those that serve the direct response community through telemarketing,
tape duplication and other services.
EMMA members meet four or five times a year at events ranging from luncheons to cocktail parties.
Our luncheons have featured presentations by new cable networks as well as lessons on the changing technology of direct
response advertising.
